Can I be the only stockholder in my corporation?

Yes.  It’s perfectly acceptable to form your corporation by allowing only a single stockholder. You will still be responsible for seeing to all the corporate requirements, like holding meetings and keeping records, that are necessary to maintain corporate integrity and protect yourself—or whoever that one stockholder may be—against personal liability.
